How do I sign up for a SoftCall Account?
Opening an account on SoftCall is free and is done through the SoftCall website. Simply click on Sign Up and then follow all the registration steps (e-mails will be sent to you including your e-mail verification and validation link followed by a welcome letter). After completing registration, download and install SoftCall dialer. The username and password that were created during registration are used to login to SoftCall dialer and buy credits.
How do I install SoftCall Dialer?
After creating a free SoftCall account and logging in to the website with your credentials, choose “download our SoftCall now”. In order to install the dialer follow all the steps as they appear. The installation will only take few minutes.
What are the system requirements to run SoftCall?
Below are the minimum hardware and system requirements to use SoftCall on your PC: • Processor(CPU): 800 MHz or faster • Memory: 512 MB • Operating System: Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista • Connection Speed: 64K • Sound Card: 16 bits • Headset with microphone/built in microphone & speakers

How do I Purchase/Recharge my SoftCall Account?
SoftCall offers you diversified products to purchase and different methods to recharge your SoftCall account: • Online throughout Pay As You Go Credits, or Monthly Calling Plans. This is done by visiting www.SoftCall.me, logging in using the credentials that were already set during your online free account creation and finally choosing the “Buy Credits” section and purchasing the product of your convenience. • Prepaid calling cards & vouchers from the nearest authorized SoftCall Reseller.
How to make a call using SoftCall?
To make a call using SoftCall please follow the below steps: • Login to SoftCall Dialer using your username and password chosen during Registration, or using the username & password written on your prepaid calling card purchased from the reseller. • Enter the destination number you wish to reach. You can enter the number by clicking on the dialer digits one by one, or entering the entire number in the displayed dialing box by using the following format: 00 + country code + city code(without its initial 0) + phone number • Click on the "Green phone" button.
How can I check my account balance?
For prepaid Calling cards customers, and online subscribers who opted for the pay as you go method, the balance will be automatically displayed after logging in to the SoftCall dialer. For online subscribers who purchased monthly calling plans, the remaining minutes of the purchased & used calling plans will be displayed after logging in to the website and visiting the calling plans section.
How long can I use my credit to make calls?
For pay as you go online method and prepaid calling cards, there is no expiry date. For monthly calling plans customer, the plan will be expired after exactly one month from its purchase date whether intact or partially used.
Can I have more than 1 simultaneous call from the same account I have with SoftCall?
If you are using SoftCall Pay As You Go services you can have two simultaneous calls on the same account. However if you are using one of SoftCall Country Calling Plans, only one call is allowed at a time.
How can I improve the sound quality of the call?
One of the factors that can affect sound quality is the Internet bandwidth available during your call. Try to avoid making calls during peak Internet usage hours when traffic is high. Another tip is to use a headset with a built-in microphone. This will help eliminate echo and ensure better sound. Adjust the microphone volume so that your speech is not too loud.
I hear an echo during the call. What should I do?
We recommend using a headset as this reduces the echo effect. If you are using speakers the feedback from the speakers may cause the person on the phone to experience some echo. Our software component will detect this and will automatically try to compensate for this, but it may not be able to eliminate all traces of the echo. Try to move the microphone as far away from the speakers as possible. You can also try lowering the speaker volume. This will usually reduce the echo.
How to setup my SIP device with SoftCall?
Use the below to configure your SIP device:

Can I call all numbers in all countries?
SoftCall allows you to call all fixed and mobile lines in the world. Check out our competitive prices available on the website.
Do the same call charges apply no matter which country I am calling from?
The prices are the same regardless of the country you are calling from. The prices are based on the country you are calling to. For example, if the price to call USA is 2c/minute, you will be charged 2c whether you are calling from the USA, France or any other country. Is SoftCall compatible with mobile phones?
SoftCall could be used on all mobiles that have SIP settings. Kindly check the supported Nokia Models that are compatible with SoftCall by choosing the Mobile VoIP Section on the SoftCall website. A GPRS or 3G or Wi-Fi connection is needed and your SoftCall is ready to serve you. If you are using IPhone or a Windows Mobile device you can download and install Fring, and then start making calls. Nimbuzz is also an alternative.

Can I buy with my Moneybookers account from your website?
You can definitely purchase our products from your Moneybookers account. New payment methods are in the implementation process and might be launched in the near future on the website.
Can I pay in cash because I do not have a credit card?
In case you do not have a credit card and would like to purchase from SoftCall, please send us an email at support@softcall.me and we will provide you with alternative payment methods.
What is Fund Transfer service?
Fund Transfer service allows you to share your credits with your friends and family. You send them calling credits and they can start making calls directly.
You may transfer credits to any SoftCall user if you have made a successful payment. Users who failed to make a successful payment within the current month are not allowed to transfer SoftCall calling credits to other accounts.
Why Do I get Register Error: 503 service unavailable?
Now regarding the Register Error: 503 service unavailable problem, this is due to firewall restrictions from your Internet Provider. We are working on a new version of our Dialer which will bypass most firewalls. In order to resolve this problem you can use a VPN connection with our SoftCall dialer or if the VPN used is incompatible with SoftCall dialer then use VPN with Nimbuzz.
What are the Codecs supported by SoftCall?
The following codecs are supported by SoftCall: G711 alaw/ulaw, GSM, iLBC, G723.1, G729 Please note that at times, you need to change your codec preference in order to benefit the most from our excellent quality of service so in case you faced any discrepancy try to modify the audio codec settings in order to find the perfect codec for your destination. Sometimes codec preferences may change from a destination to another.
How can I contact SoftCall support?

I bought a monthly calling Plan and am getting surcharges and additional costs can you please check this issue?
We would like to draw your attention that on the “promotional calling plans”, as it is mentioned on our website, surcharges may apply. Despite these surcharges the rates remain extremely attractive. If you are a heavy user, such offering is very suitable for your needs.
However, if you use our “Pay As You Go” offering, you shall pay the price as displayed on our website without any surcharges.
I bought some credits through Pay as you go method and upon using your services I’ve been getting additional fees and charges why is that?
This is to inform you that you already have an active Monthly Calling Plan and bought Pay As You Go credits. All you need to do is logging in to the website and going to the Calling Plans section and press switch to "Pay As You Go" button so that you change your account type to Pay As You Go and get exactly charged for the minutes you talk without any additional fees whatsoever..Can I use PayPal as to Purchase SoftCall services?

It all depends on the type of internet used on each device. We believe that this due to a bandwidth issue or the internet speed you have as SoftCall services from a PC or from a mobile device should be equally very good. I downloaded SoftCall on my Nokia mobile but it’s not working it’s giving me an compatibility error can you please advise?
Our SoftCall dialer is a PC2Phone dialer which can't be used as a Mobile dialer. If you want to use SoftCall on your mobile you can check our Mobile VoIP area to get more information. I would like to configure SoftCall on Nimbuzz. Could you please help me with that?
Nimbuzz configuration is very simple. When signing up and logging in to Nimbuzz please choose tools --> Options --> Call Service and do the following: - Check the radio button of SIP Provider and choose other SIP as SIP Provider - Put your SoftCall Username and password - Put sip.softcall.me as proxy and domain After doing all the above press connect and start making calls. I am a UAE Customer and would like to know why I am getting Registration error 408 request timed out or 503 no DNS results
The problem you are facing is due to firewall restrictions from your Internet Service Provider since VoIP is prohibited in UAE. We are working on a new version of our Dialer which will bypass most firewalls. In the meantime, you can use SoftCall with a VPN connection to overcome this problem. All you need to do is downloading the VPN Software by entering the following link in your brwoser's address bar: https://www.softcall.me/Downloads/DM-238.exe When completely installed, double click the Hotspot Shield icon. When launched as shown below, press on the below connect button  After Connecting, sign in to SoftCall and start a smooth call making experience!
I would like to become a SoftCall Reseller so can you please help me out with this?
Regarding becoming a Softcall Reseller, we will be more than pleased to forward your request to our sales representatives to handle your inquiry pertinently and communicate with you to further explain the conditions and benefits. You can easily upgrade your account type to reseller by logging on to our SoftCall website using your credentials and choosing become a reseller from the Member's Panel. Make sure to have a minimum of 20$ in your account so that you become eligible. My account is not active yet though i did register i still haven't received the email verification link, what's the problem?

I signed in to SoftCall dialer and though i successfully signed in, whenver i make a call i get invalid number/account why is that?
Despite the successful login to the SoftCall dialer, you will always get such error if you did not enter your credentials correctly. Make sure to always use your username and password with the exact format that is used in the welcome e-mail we send you upon siging up and account activation. for example is my account id is UserName1 then i should enter it as is when signing in to the dialer including a capital U and N. Signing in with the following: username1 won't allow you to successfully authenticate your account and will consequently entail the above mentioned error.
I failed to successfully login to SoftCall dialer while having enough funds in my account why is that?
Putting special characters in your username while signing up will entail authentication problems when logging in to SoftCall dialer. Please make sure to refrain from using special characters ie: "@" in your account id. |
